A message from our CEO on COVID -19

Dear PressReader Partners and Clients,

The situation around COVID-19 continues to evolve so rapidly that every day brings something new, and all of us are getting used to new realities. Today we wanted to let you know what we’re doing in our collective effort to flatten the curve and mitigate its effect on our business.

As of today, our offices around the world remain operational, subject to local government advisories and/or restrictions.  It’s our responsibility to provide a safe and healthy environment for our teams, and as guided by the advice of local public health agencies, we’re doing so. At PressReader, this means reduced staffing and social distancing in offices, as well as enhanced cleaning procedures.

Likely, not dissimilar to your organization, we enable our staff to work remotely and are confident that the measures put in place will allow them to continue to provide you with the service and responsiveness you expect from us.

At this point, we do not anticipate any impact on our operations, although some delays with XML processing (article text view and associate features) may occur from time to time as we adapt our processes to function within this new framework.

During these uncertain times, access to trusted quality content is more important than ever. Uncertain times can be stressful for many; accessing quality news shouldn’t. Whether to catch up on analyses of the situation as it develops around the world, or to try to disconnect for a little bit from hard news and focus on yourself, your mental health, or your hobbies — PressReader remains a critical source for trusted content.

We’re proud to partner with publishers around the world, bringing their content to all of its corners. We’ve already seen libraries and schools, which have been shut in lockdown areas, promote PressReader and its remote access capability through their social channels. We’re working with other people-focused brands on similar initiatives for their staff, guests, passengers, and patrons.

Times like these call for all of us to continue to work together (naturally, in a socially distant way for the time being). So, if there’s anything you’d like to explore, or if we can help you in any way, let’s talk.

We’ll get through this; there’s no doubt. In the meantime, on behalf of all of us at PressReader, we wish good health to you, your families, and everyone around you.

Alex Kroogman
