PressReader, the world’s leading all-you-can-read news platform, is delighted to announce a partnership with Inmarsat. Individuals and businesses based in some of the world’s remotest locations, will now benefit from access to a digital catalogue of full-content premium newspapers and magazines from more than 100 countries in over 60 languages powered by global satellite communications leader, Inmarsat.

PressReader delivers premium content to a global audience of over 300 million readers through their extensive consumer and business network. Inmarsat’s collaboration with PressReader is consistent with a growth strategy to bring the world’s foremost technology to some of the most diverse and isolated locations around the world.  PressReader’s varied and comprehensive content offering allows workers and travelers in remote locations to enjoy up-to-date news and magazine content on their own personal smartphones, tablets and laptops.

Igor Smirnoff, Chief Commercial Officer at PressReader said, “We’re on a mission to bring the world’s best content to every individual, no matter where they are. Our partnership with Inmarsat allows us to bring content to people who historically would never be otherwise able to access it. It’s pretty cool that now, regardless of whether you’re an oil or a gas engineer or an NGO medical worker living a million miles from home in a remote location, you can read your hometown newspaper when you wake up in the morning. We’re pleased to be working with Inmarsat to make this possible.”

Nadeem Khan, Head of Applications Enablement at Inmarsat Enterprise said, “One of the key objectives of Inmarsat’s Certified Application Partner program is to create value for every stakeholder. Partnering with PressReader and bringing the app alongside our flat rate airtime packages will encourage our partners to offer a digital newsstand solution to their customers. Whether personnel are on an oil rig, at a remote mine or based at a hotel in a remote location, customers can deploy an employee welfare solution in 60 languages by choosing Inmarsat and PressReader. Organizations can also distribute their operational documents to remote sites using PressReader, keeping their employees up-to-date and in-line with regulations. We’re excited to have partnered with PressReader and we’re looking forward to working together.”
