Browsing and discovering content on PressReader is getting faster, simpler and more intuitive.
How? We’re introducing several enhancements to our web experience that improve how users navigate our universe of content, explore publications and discover their next favorite read. It all adds up to a smoother experience and greater flexibility for users to enjoy content the way they choose.
Improvements to browsing
PressReader now uses a scroll-first, vertical reading experience on web that makes browsing and reading feel more natural and intuitive.
PressReader’s updated viewing modes make reading more flexible. The "Replica Page View" feature now offers the following options:
- Fit to Width
- Fit to Height
- Spread options
Meanwhile, "Text View" now features a refreshed, vertical, newspaper-inspired layout. Plus, a new pop-up–based "Article View" lets readers stay immersed while continuing to discover content across publications.
New keyboard and button-based navigation, along with smoother scrolling and improved page centering, make moving between articles more fluid.
A new table of contents allows readers to jump directly between the sections of the publication they’re reading.
The “For You” page now surfaces user-relevant article snippets that make it easier to scan topics and decide what to read next, with easier region switching to explore content from different countries.
PressReader now surfaces recommended articles from the same issue to encourage deeper exploration. Readers can also view all articles on a specific page through a dedicated menu, making page exploration faster.
Search has been updated with simplified filters that reduce friction while still supporting deeper exploration for frequent users.
We hope you enjoy these updates to the PressReader experience, and stay tuned for more!
