Spotlight: Amnesty International says writing a letter can change a life

Amnesty International’s annual “Write for Rights” has just concluded with millions of supporters around the globe writing letters for people whose basic human rights are being attacked. Supporters write letters like someone’s life depends on it, and often it does.

A letter to an authority can bring about positive change in a person’s life. A letter of solidarity to the person facing abuse or injustice can help get them through the darkest moment in their life.
