Montreal officials have proposed dumping over 8 billion liters (2.1 billion gallons) of raw sewage into the St. Lawrence River in order to complete a public works project. Ouellet, who sits on Montreal’s Water, Environment, Sustainable Development and Parks Committee and is the opposition’s appointed critic, says the sewage dump cannot happen.
