PressReader version 1.6 brings landscape mode to the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad

PressReader version 1.6 featuring the long awaited landscape mode for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, has been approved by Apple and is now available for download from the iTunes App Store!

Now, whether at work, curled up at home or on the go, PressDisplay.com subscribers have the option of reading over 1,500 titles from around the world on their Apple devices in the orientation that suits them best (personally, I’m really digging landscape on the smaller iPhone and iPod Touch screens, but ultimately, the decision is up you 🙂 ).

Check out the landscape screenshots below:

Quick tip to prevent your iPad screen from rotating

If you’d like to prevent your iPad screen from rotating while you’re reading your favorite newspaper on PressReader, all you have to do is change the setting on the Screen Rotation Lock button located on your iPad.

Simply slide the Screen Rotation Lock down to lock the iPad in its current screen orientation:

Once this has been done, a lock icon will appear in the status bar.  To unlock your iPad’s rotation functionality, all you have to do is slide the Screen Rotation Lock button back up (which is the default setting on your iPad).

How many devices can I use?

Whether you enjoy using your iPad, iPhone, PC or any other mobile device, one thing is for certain – it seems like more and more of us are enjoying many more devices.  With any 1 PressDisplay.com subscription, subscribers can access their favorite PressDisplay titles on 3 different computers and 3 mobile devices.

So, there you have it!  Get PressReader version 1.6 for your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad right now and enjoy either potrait or landscape modes or both!  As always, we want to make the app as good as it can possibly be so please feel free to leave feedback on the blog or review the app on iTunes.

Cheers,
