U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) thinks for-profit colleges lure students into debt that many can’t pay. He says for-profit colleges are exploiting student debt in America.
Ninety-six per cent of students that attend for-profit colleges have to borrow money to pay for their education, and they rack up an average of US$40,000 debt. Senator Durbin says getting a college education should be a debt free experience.
